Mike S. – Hospital Manager & Dental Technician
Mike has been with us for over 15 years but in the veterinary field for over 30 years. He has specialized in animal dentistry and is the dental technician for our practice. He attended the University of Maryland. Mike enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking, grilling/smoking, watching soccer & American football. His favorite teams are the Green Bay Packers, Manchester United and DC United.
Mike has 2 dogs at home: Maximo Fury & Dublin Endeavour
Erica S. – Vet Tech
Erica has been a technician with our practice since 1999. She has been in the veterinary field for 23 years and has experience as both a technician and receptionist.
Her hobbies include scrapbooking, crafting and card making. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She especially loves playing Bunco with her friends. Her favorite sports teams are The Bowie Baysox, Washington Capitals and Nationals. She also enjoys cheering loudly for the Ravens – so her neighbors can hear!

Erica O.P – Vet Tech & Front Office Manager
Erica have been with VHCS since 2009. She has been in the veterinary field for over 20 years with experience as a technician and receptionist. Erica still enjoys being a veterinary technician when she can but since beating cancer she has now taken the lead role at our front desk making sure operations move smoothly. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her boyfriend and 3 boys watching them play their sports and being an active presence in their school. Her favorite sports teams are the Washington Redskins, Capitals & Baltimore Orioles.
Erica has 1 cat: Leroy
Donna T. – Vet Tech
Donna started with our practice in early 2019. She has been an amazing addition to the VHCS team. Donna attended the University of Baltimore and has a BS in Corp Communications. She enjoys hanging with her friends and being with her family. She loves listening to live local music and going to Caps games. Her favorite sports team are the Washington Capitals.
Donna enjoys all of her and her family’s pets at home!
Emily K. – Lead Tech
Emily has been a vital part of the VHS team since 2020. She is primarily a technician but can fill in any position! Emily took the Veterinary Assisting Program at Anne Arundel Community College and has been in the field working as a technician ever since. She enjoys watching sports, especially the Orioles, going to games, and concerts.
Emily has a special place in her heart for the shiba babies!
John L. – Vet Tech/Surgical Technician
John has been a kennel tech for VHCS since 2014 and is currently being trained as a technician.
He graduated from The University of Maryland and has a degree in Film Studies. John enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music as well as watching and going to the movies. His favorite sports teams are The Washington Redskins, Capitals and Baltimore Orioles.
John has 1 dog at home: Buddy
